The number of applications for company registration has grown significantly in February 2016. According to the Companies’ Registrar there were 1089 applications, as opposed to 790 in February of 2015. This demonstrates a rise in 27,8%.
Partner of KPMG Tasos Yasimides told StockWatch that this rise signals that investors are gradually retrieving their trust in Cypriot economy, and that there is a positive reaction to tax reform.
The total amount of companies registered in Cyprus amounts to 201 554.
